Rotary Endodontics

Treating root canals is easier with rotary endodontics

Is the day coming when a root canal will be painless and stress free?

As dental technology moves closer to that goal, a new technology in endodontics is making the root canal experience more comfortable and efficient for patients. Rotary endodontics involves the use of an electric-powered drill that is equipped with a nickel titanium tip for easier drilling. The nickel titanium tip is more flexible than the traditional stainless steel files and makes the drilling portion of the procedure faster and more comfortable for patients.

During a root canal, the roots and nerves that have become infected inside a tooth are removed. The pulp, also known as the roots and nerves, is removed because the infection is creating pain and could lead to more serious mouth and gum issues.
